Volt Auto and Charge+ Introduce Three Years of Free EV Charging for New Dongfeng Box Owners

Volt Auto, the official distributor of Dongfeng electric vehicles, has partnered with leading EV charging operator Charge+ to offer an exclusive three-year complimentary charging package for new Dongfeng Box owners. This promotion, effective from January 2025, provides up to 6,000 kWh of free charging credits across the Charge+ network in Singapore and Malaysia.

Significant Savings and Long-Range Benefits

Under this partnership, eligible Dongfeng Box EV owners will receive 6,000 kWh of free charging credits, which would typically cost around S$4,000, based on a standard charging rate of S$0.65 per kWh. This energy allocation translates into a driving range of approximately 60,000 kilometres, effectively covering an estimated 20,000 kilometres per year for three years.


Cross-Border EV Charging with Charge+

As part of this initiative, Dongfeng Box owners will enjoy seamless charging access beyond Singapore, thanks to Charge+’s extensive regional charging infrastructure. Charge+ operates Singapore’s largest EV charging network, featuring 2,500 charge points islandwide, and a growing fast-charger network across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. This initiative ensures that Dongfeng Box drivers can embark on cross-border journeys with confidence.


Milestone Road Trip Marks the Partnership

To commemorate this collaboration, Volt Auto and Charge+ embarked on a 10-day, 3,097-kilometre road trip in a Dongfeng Box, covering key locations in Johor, Kuala Lumpur, and Ipoh. This journey demonstrated the vehicle’s efficiency and the reliability of Charge+’s charging network across Malaysia.

Goh Chee Kiong, CEO of Charge+, highlighted the company’s mission to expand the EV infrastructure: “With our rapidly growing charging network, Dongfeng customers can experience a hassle-free and convenient charging solution, not just in Singapore but across the region.”


Soh Ming, Managing Director of Volt Auto, expressed enthusiasm about addressing EV ownership concerns: “Range anxiety remains a major concern for EV drivers. Our partnership with Charge+ ensures that Dongfeng Box owners have access to an extensive network of fast-charging stations.
