Vertex Automobile Secures Chery International's Distributorship, Unveils Omoda5 EV Launch in Q1 2024

Vertex Automobile embarks on an unprecedented chapter with the acquisition of Chery International's distributorship, transitioning from their prior distribution of Seat and Cupra brands. This pivotal move introduces two fresh marques, OMODA and Jaecoo, nested under the Chery International umbrella.



Primed for an illustrious debut in the first quarter of 2024, the spotlight rests on the inaugural offering, the Omoda5 EV. The timeline for Jaecoo's introduction remains pending, awaiting confirmation. Details on pricing and specifications for both models are slated for future unveilings.


Anticipation builds around the upcoming showroom, set to premiere early next year, promising avant-garde features and an unparalleled exhibition of their vehicle lineup.

Sng Khai Hing, Vertex Automobile's Executive Director, emphasized the collaboration's significance, calling it a "transformative moment for Singapore's automotive landscape." He highlighted the potential to drive sustainable mobility in the region through this partnership with Chery International.


Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Yin Tong Yue, Chery Automobile's Chairman, expressed enthusiasm for the alliance, showcasing their dedication to technological innovation and environmental sustainability on a global scale.


Beyond mere distribution rights, this strategic partnership aims to fast-track Singapore's transition to a greener, eco-friendly automotive ecosystem, championing the integration of electric vehicles.


During the contract signing in Singapore, representatives from Vertex Automobile and Chery International participated in diplomatic events alongside key figures from the Chinese Embassy, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).
