LATEST COE RESULTS SINGAPORE

In Singapore COE is a must have certification to own and operate a vehicle for 10 years. After 10 years, the owner can choose to renew/extend this certification for another 5 years or 10 years and the price will be under Prevaliling Quota Premium (PQP) which is the moving average of the past three months.

If you renew your vehicle for another 5 years once it is up you must scrap your vehicle.

If you renew your vehicle for another 10 years you can renew again after that for another 5 years or 10 years.

There are total of five different catergories and to own and operate a vehicle you need a COE of the matching category:

​

• Category A – Cars with engine capacity of 1600 CC and below

• Category B – Cars with engine capacity exceeding 1600 CC

• Category C – Goods carrying vehicles and buses

• Category D – Motorcycles

• Category E – This is an “open category” COE, which can be used for all of the above.

 

Note that the categories cannot cross each other (e.g buying a Catergory D Motorcycle and Drive a Catergory A Car)
